The Kurhaus Baden-Baden was built between 1821 and 1823
by Friedrich Weinbrenner on the spot where the first Kurhaus (1765) once stood.
Its stately rooms (Bénazet Hall, Weinbrenner Hall, Round Room,
Hall of Mirrors, Casino Halls, etc.) offer a unique location
for happenings, galas, concerts and lectures.
.
The Kurhaus is host to the largest and oldest Casino in Germany
and the most beautiful one worldwide.
Taken over in 1838 by the far-sighted lessee, Jacques Bénazet,
Baden-Baden's casino closely resembles a French chateau.
Guests can play French and American roulette, baccara,
black jack, poker and klondyke. Guided tours are available.
Gambling starts daily at 2 pm.
.
There is a connection to the Leopoldsplatz via the Kurhauspromenaden.
